I think you are in the stage #2 (check in F5F5 screen at the end of the corresponding mission todo line). In this case you should read again the line, there is a word which help.

In case it makes a difference, I am using Trunk.
Have you tried using the stable 1.80 version to see if that makes a difference?

If it's a very recent trunk build, the save-file may not be backward-compatible.

I tested in trunk, 1.80 and 1.77.1 without problems.

I'm beginning to become intrigued with it. Might even install and see if I can reproduce the issue.... ! Got a few things already in the inbox though and experience has taught me not to have too many things in the inbox.

I am, yes. I'll keep looking, thanks. :)

It's as recent as it gets. :D (Baring checking out the GIT repository and compiling it myself... I don't really want to bother with that every day.)

Hi,

Ok, I give up too. I've been searching around for ages and can't find him. I've searched for clues in the forums and still nothing. I think I may be in the right system. Please can someone send me a small clue as to how I can find the collector?
Thanks

Hi Lange, welcome in this forum!

You are in the right system if you receive a message with a hint about the direction of the collector within the current system when you dock into the main station. After this your F5F5 screen contain a line with a short summary of the hint.

The precise distance is not given but you should see something in your way when you are near. Use your torus drive only until your scanner is empty and be ready to turn it off by hand when something is appear to do not miss the "guide".

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Ahh, I've not got the hint yet, unless I missed it? So maybe it's not the right system. I think I've been to every system in this part of the galaxy now though. Oh well, I'll just have to keep searching...

Yes, you should do what your F5F5 screen show about the collector.

Ok, I'm sure I'm in the correct system, but my F5F5 is still at #2 with no hint to the location. Have I missed something?

Now I checked again: if I dock into the main station in the right system when I am in stage #2 then I get the message and #3 in F5F5.
