Oolite Bulletins

I can't seem to find an OXP like this already in existance, and I don't (yet) know how to create one myself. If possible, I would like to see Earth and its solar system in the ooniverse. Sometimes, starting the game in Lave, wandering the ooniverse, which is only now becoming familiar to me, I get a little homesick, and long to see good old Earth again. I know it would be an ambitious and labor intensive project, but please, I implore you, at least consider it. I can't be the only person who misses his homeworld.

My distant ancestors were the Dineh of the American southwest on the planet Earth but they fled along with millions of others in a exodus known as the Great leap which put them and their generation ships .into space headed for what was hoped a new life in galaxies far far away. Many generation ships made land and disgorged their cargoes others are still out there drifting. So Earth has no place in our OOlite universe save as a far and distant myth in our collective minds.

Some planets with well known lookouts are in the FarPlanetsLave texture pack. You must buy the fast drives of FarPlanets to reach the new planets in real distances, or set this.$FarPlanetsLaveDemo=true; in farplanets.js to bring these near.

I suggest to use [wiki]Telescope[/wiki] which can put target lock on planets and show the remaining distance during your way.
