Space1999 Eagles - Station Oresrati

"... Yes, they don't make them like that any more. Oh wait, they still do!
You're listing to Radio Kelvin, Hyperchannel 886756.43, the station that's the absolute last word on cool. And it's Classics Hour, brought to you by our sponsor, Yoyodyne Cybernetics: makers of ball-bearing Trumble-traps and fuel-injected bagpipes.
Now here's a recently-rediscovered classic from the archives: “Station Oresrati” by that well-known and best-loved group from Old Dirt, the Space1999 Eagles..."
From a last-minute mis-jump, my ship spinning through space
The dank smell of ozone, fragments drift past my face
Up ahead on the scanner, I saw a welcoming sight
The air was heavy and my scope was dim
I had to bring an end to this flight
As I approached the nav-beacon
I heard the aegis bell -
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
I lined my ship on the dock-lights, and they showed me the way
Then heard voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...
Welcome to the Station Oresrati
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a relaxed pace
Plenty of room at the Station Oresrati
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here
Her mind is definitely twisted, she got a Fer-De-Lance straight,
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls 'mates'
How they dance in the ballroom, sweet fragrant sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
So I called the plate-captain,
"Please bring me some wine"
He said, "We haven't had that liquor here since thirty-five sixty nine"
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the Station Oresrati
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a relaxed pace
They're livin' it up at the Station Oresrati
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The Lethal Juice on ice
Someone said "We are all just prisoners here, of our jump device"
And in the docking hangar,
They gathered for their shift
They tinker with their witch-space drives,
But they just can't cross the rift
Last thing I remember, I was
Launching out the door
I had to find a mis-jump back
To the place I was before
"Relax," said the dock-man,
"We are so glad to receive.
You can un-dock any time you like,
But you can never leave!"
(cue guitar solo)
