Taken out massive convoy including Vipers first, and what i see inside? Platinum? Gold? No!
Food, textile, slaves, minerals and other cheap stuff. Who needs armored transport and convoy to deliver this?

I am inclined to agree, you would expect a large convoy to protect a valuable cargo. But I would also say that they are a bit wimpy, and ought to be a lot stronger in defence of their "mother", you would think that a suspicious craft approching would be buzzed by one of the wingmen. You can fly right into the formation and fly with them, and they don't bat an eyelid, even if you are a fugitive.

Bump!

The caravans seldom do much to defend themselves. I've fired at the escorts avoiding the main ship. The others? No response.

I've gotten more agression from ships that dig among asteroids. While cutting up boulders into splinters I've had my ship rammed by the competition!

lol

It's called "backhauling". Your primary job is to deliver goods from A to B, but on the way back from B to A any available cargo is better than nothing. There was a bit of a scandal recently when it imerged that some lorries would haul food from A to B, then backhaul garbage, resulting in unsanitary conditions. Obviously the escorts need to backhaul too.

My gripe is why are the containers extracted from transports so varried? Whenever I fill up, I buy all of one type. Or if they don't have enough of one type, I'll fill up the remaining space with a second type. Bulk cargo contracts come in one flavour too. So how come that Boa which mysteriously blew up right in front of me contained eight different products? Shouldn't we have a monoculture of containers per transport?

They may have been trawling, themselves ;). The only way I could ever see anyone filling an Anaconda on a single run )(appart from contracts, of course), would be if he or she shot-up everything they ever came across and scooped whatever came out...

But we all know Anacondas mostly belong to commercial hauler firms which don’t have to make do with the gray market.
