Save points for offenders/ fugitives

Morning all.
One thing I have observed, is that one of the major challenges with attempting to play the game as a 'pirate' or otherwise low-life trader (or even GalCop/Navy) preying miscreant, is that there is no real way of saving the game (eg if real-life calls and I need to do something else) without clearing ones legal status through a series of consecutive hyperjump to allow me to dock and save at a Coriolis station.
With this in mind, if feels like there should be a dockable which allows you to save whatever your status (eg Rock Hermits, or Free Trade Zones from one of the OXPs spring to mind.
I realise that there is an OXP (save anywhere I think) which implements a 'work around' to this, and I seem to recall that the reason for only using main stations as save points in the core game is due to 'permanence' of these, however if a way was found round this to allow saving in the normal way, I feel this would increase the number of dimensions available to you in the game, rather than forcing you to play in manner that always 'forces towards clean' due to the need to save the game.
Just my thoughts..
