The weather in Mordor is just like Los Angeles

El Reg, of course.
I think the smog problem in china has LA beat hands down... even wearing face masks.. it is so dangerous that the Chinese overlords are spinning the smog into something that has health benefits so people will go out into it. So when Frodo and Sam had sore throats, watering eyes, parched mouths, metallic tasting spring water they weren't in LA. I also am of the opinion that the author was biased .. the shire is most certainly like Seattle's weather. Of course, this is my own biased opinion and I am sticking to it.
