Another KickStarter - 8-bit oldtimers - Hewson Games

Post by DaddyHoggy »

OK, I know we've got a lot of 8-bit old timers on the boards.

This KS has already reached its funding level - but I wouldn't want anybody to miss out!

The Hewson hame I remember best was Avalon ... a friend and I accidentally stumbled on a cheat mode after getting incredibly frustrated with the game and squashing all the keys down in a fit of blind rage.

I played Paradroid, Uridium and AlleyKat* to completion and then when I got my Amiga I played Pinball Dreams a lot, really, really, a lot.

(Andrew Braybrook was my programming hero - what he managed to get the C64 to do was quite astonishing)

I also played Pinball Dreams a lot. Apparently DiceC was used to create it, I didn't know that at the time even though I was using it when I first started programming in C.

Edit: I've also backed this kickstarter.
