Stellar geography - what's that bit of Galaxy Seven called?

Hiya. A possibly dumb query, but I'd rather waste everyone else's time than do my own damn research and I've not managed to find out the answer for myself. Galaxy Seven has a bit torn off in the bottom left corner - twenty-odd systems that are out of Witchjump range of the rest of the galaxy. Has anyone named this feature or do I get to christen it for the story I'm writing?

Many thanks,
Mal

Collectively, they're often called The Rift Worlds, and the gap is known as The Great Rift (from ClymAngus' [EliteWiki] Vector Maps).
However, you can name them anything you wish. They are reachable, btw - all you need is an ideal victim.

My word, that was fast!

Much obliged (and you know, I swear I'd seen that before, too).

That's our Cody! I wouldn't recommend you challenging him in a duel....

But out there around the eight there is a lot of strange things that that seem somewhat familiar and very alien at the same time. It is a wise commander that keep their wits about them!
