System names, less cluttered?

There are instances when in Short Range Chart the systems are too close to eachother and the names are mixed, looking not only ugly, but unreadable.

Currently, the names are automatically placed on the upper-right part of the star.

There are two alternatives:
1. either an algorithm to determine where to place the name so that it wouldn't interfere with the neighboring names
2. manually set the location of the name, since the 8 charts are not gonna change, ever

Do you think this is a problem which need solving?
If yes, are there other solutions?

Yes, it's not a gamebreaker but annoying when it happens.

Zoomable charts would also be nice, would mitigate this problem somewhat and would mean the short-range and long-range charts could be merged - although perhaps that's a suggestion that should have its own thread?

When you select a system, by clicking on the star circle, the label will change to be on the top. So it shouldn't matter?
