No version of Elite is complete without a short(ish) story to go with it.
So here is the first draft of my contribution for Oolite:

Enjoy. Or not as the case may be!

I haven't read it all yet, but from the small part i did i can see you're quite a writer!

I like the way it starts off...
Reminds me of Robert Rankin... :P

You know, as soon as they're on the ship, it remind me verily of star trek!
"Aaron, you've got the bridge"

That thing about the fish, that's something I've said about some people. I don't know where I got it from. But you know, when two people have had a fight or argument, then one offers their hand to shake and make up, and the other looks astonished? That's the sort of thing. Probably inspired by Monty Python.

Splendid work sir! As for the ending, pure genius... exactly how I imagined a captain on the fringes would act. Such writings makes me ponder when you'll finish Deceit, Harmony and Pleasure

I liked the nod to the mighty D.N.A. (Of course in these enlightened times nobody believes a word of it)

Well, I've fixed a few typos and things I saw when re-reading it, so I might make it sort of 'offical' now, since it seems to be going down well :-)
