Help at hand if you're trapped in interstellar space with a bunch of Thargoid warships!

Then why is their legal status "fugitive"?

They are also pirates. But in the war of thargoids vs everyone else, pirate and police and bounty hunter and trader fight side by side.

I've seen after thargoids left/were destroyed Coachwhip escort fighting with police - some of them seemed to shoot others by accident ;-)

The SuperCobra OXP creates 3 ships, all fugitives, whenever you arrive somewhere.
So if you do a witchspace malfunction, they will be there too.

You can even get the Behemoth there sometimes, which is really cool.
