Installer based on svn rev 335 now available

Hi,
I have just posted an installer based on build 335 to the
Oolite-PC site.
Oolite PC is no longer alpha. As soon as an installer is made from the same rev of the repository as Giles' next MacOS-X release, I think we'll call it released and give it the same version number.
From that point on, the Windows port should be able to keep up with the official releases, as long as we catch and fix anything that doesn't port properly before Giles makes each release.

For us non techies, what does this mean from a practical point of view, should I download this, and if so what do I do with it? (DON'T say the obvious)

From now on, we'll always use Nic's installer, to make both full installers and patch installers.
The one above is a full installer so all you have to do is download the file and run it. It will create an entry in your Start menu which you can use to run the game. It includes everything the game needs so you don't need to install anything else.
However, this is not a "release" in the sense that Giles releases 1.64 or whatever. This is more like one of the Linux daily builds. It was built from the most recent sources in the svn repository. Having said that, it is as good a version of Oolite as I've played so far.

It is (having never played it mind you, but having run the same revision on Linux) probably perfectly fair to call it Windows 1.64dev1 though (which indicates it's a development release rather than one of the tagged 'stable' releases).
