Strictly come dancing appreciation thread

Post by xzanfr »

I owe a great big thank you to the creators of strictly come dancing....

I love my mrs (she's been my dream girl for decades and my best friend) however anything that can keep her occupied for 3 hours while I enjoy "man time" is genius! I've no idea who the people are in the show and my last experience of dancing involved pogo-ing at Reading '94, however I've spent the time checking the landy's gearbox oil via torchlight, turned a raspberry pi in to a home web server and clearing out the bottom centre of galaxy 8 in oolite, all with a couple of beers!

Has anyone else used this show or other similar tv blackholes for creative means? :D

I've never thought there was any upside to such shows... I stand corrected! 8)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

It's the only good thing I could mention for any soap operas and suchlike - they provided an hour or two of peace!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
