Covering a spherical surface in hexagons makes me think. Is it possible?
Why do footballs have a mix of heagons and pentagons?

I suspect it’s something to do with being able to form a sphere with them. If you just used hexagons you’d either end up deforming some of the hexagons or not being able to get to a good spherical shape.

Imagine a cube, sticking full color stickers on each side with the image of an aquarium... :? :| :P

Is something doable, yes but it would not be truly 3d and you need copyright free 'stickers' images of (bio)domes or industrial-domes-in-space ,
depending how the astro domes are uv mapped results will vary...

Left i used eden-domes and on the right i used valley forge :wink: 8)

My examples are currently 2d engineered not actual gameplay...
