(1st) Happy Father's Day to all Dads here!
Now the query:
Bought fuel scoops on Zaonce recently. No Icon shows in HUD tho'. Checked FC page, but found no executing key to press. Scoops are shown on F5 inventory.
As ever Thanks in advance for any help....+ good gaming!

No need to press a key to use the fuel scoops - they come on automatically when there's something there to work on. The lack of an icon may be an error - it should be at around the 8 o'clock position of the scanner ellipse on the Adder's HUD. Are you using a custom HUD?

As it turns out, hud-small.plist does not contain an entry for the fuel scoops icon. No wonder nothing shows up for the Adder then. Good catch, will fix.
Edit: Should be fixed in r5681.

Thanks another_commander & Disembodied.
I'll try scooping some fuel, see what happens, and let you know.
@ Disembodied: I've got Fighter_Hud.oxp loaded which works fine on the Cobra, but doesn't on the Adder - inspite of holding 'Shift' down while loading Oolite.
Oh dear - I've had a Logic3 JS 282 Joystick for Father's Day which looks likely to engender another Topic....
Thanks & Good Gaming

I use Fighter Hud on my Cobra III too - but I've never got around to making it work on my Adder (which I only fly occasionly).
The fuel scoops icon appears nicely in trunk now, a_c.

Thank'ee Cody, but I don't know exactly what a trunk is yet or a_c.
However I fried myself today with the sun well behind me in the rear view with tank only a third full, so I don't think the scoop is scooping. I'll see if I can sell it and buy another.
Re the Fighter Hud, it appears in the Oolite start-up screen, but reverts to standard Hud when I select my Adder Cmdr.
Cheers

Trunk is basically our development repository. It takes a while for any feature or bug fix to land on an official release, but any and all changes to the game that we make get implemented in trunk first. What Cody refers to as trunk in this case is the actual binary resulting from the cutting edge development codebase. If you want to have a look at what's coming or simply help us test, this is what you need to install. Trunk can be installed alongside the official release and the two can happily co-exist. Binary installers for trunk get automatically generated every morning at around 04:00 UTC on a server somewhere in Europe. More information on this
here.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to have the scoop icon fix (and any others made after v1.77) unless you are willing to install the above version, which is intended mainly for testing, not for end-user gaming. You can be sure though that this fix will be appearing together with all the rest in the next official version of the game, whenever that will be ready for launch. In any case, the fuel scoops do work even without an icon (I tested by spraying some cargopods around my Adder and scooping them - all good).
The problem with the Adder and the Fighter HUD is probably due to the fact that Adder uses a differently named property list for its HUD, for which Fighter HUD does not have an equivalent. You will need to edit the Adder's shipdata to remedy this.
Oh, and a_c is almost certainly me.

Yep... it's an easy tweak, if you want it. Which shipset are you using, Jenko?

Thanks Guys. Very interested in getting the Trunk, and impressed to see feedback in action. Tried to set access up a little while ago, but your forum link, google & Oolite Wiki have all drawn a blank -a temporary thing probably?
Shall it again soon.
Shan't forget what or more correctly who a_c is for a very long time.
.
There's a dust sheet over the Adder for a while, since good fortune's enabled Cobra III upgrades.
Cheers

Thanks JazHaz. Downloaded from this link twice, but neither Windows nor my Avast security prog would let me open it.

You'll have to tell your AV (and Windows) that the
.exe
is 'user-trusted'.
