The Blue Cross on the Short Range and Long Range charts.
I find it hard to see against the black background.
Can I change it's color?

That is hard coded I believe.
However, if you are using v1.77 then try messing with the Gamma correction within the settings screen. That may help.

Yellow might make a better colour for that cross, IMO..

Increasing the gamma helps:)
Mind changing color to a lighter color would be better. (i.e. White, yellow maybe light green etc......)

So glad that helped. I didn't actually try that method but guessed it might work after messing around with textures.
I agree also that the colour of the cross could do with being lightened or changed to a colour that can been seen better on a dark background (especially for those with poor eyesight or colour blindness).

In r5680, the color of the mouse cursor in the GUI screens is changed to a somewhat lighter blue. Please have a try with the r5680 nightly build once it becomes available and let us know if things are better now.

The improved cursor is in the latest development version (trunk), and r5680 (now r5682) is the latest
nightly build.
You can download and install that version alongside normal Oolite 1.77 if you wish - but do read the disclaimer.
