Oolite 'universe'

Now with Winston's GUSTO unifying , spooky working on several builds, etc. The boundaries between Oolite OS X, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD 5.x, Solaris 10, NetBSD.... are becoming quite shallow, would it make sense to host Oolite on Berlios not in separate places but in one? SVN and a list of different builds for different os'es/archs?
Drawbacks or showstoppers?

Berlios don't seem keen to pick up new game projects at the moment.

No, but they probably wouldn’t object to changing the project charter so “oolite-linux” covers Mac OS as well. Pity someone was so short-sighted in picking the “Unix name,” though. ;-)

The only thing that needs to be done is rename the oolite-linux project to oolite (if berlios can do it). Or just suck it up that the name for the svn repo and berlios development site is not entirely correct. Mac users are likely to never see the name 'oolite-linux' anyway - they just download from wherever they normally download from.
I really really want to get away from the headache of merging if it is not actually necessary - if we have a source tree that would build all, it's insane to keep separate SVN repos for Mac OS X and everything else because it just generates a lot of extra work and potential for errors.

At some time during the sign-up process for Dry Dock it said that I should be very careful in my choice of “Unix name” because they absolutely, positively could not change it. Later on they seemed to suggest that they could but would rather not. So give it a shot. :-)

If they want less games-oriented stuff, can't you suggest swapping out the two Oolites (PC and Linux) for one (covering all systems)?
Verrrry probably not, I bet, heh.
