Methane as a solvent

I watched a video on pbs.org that featured (the early stages of) an experiment that involved creating Titan-like conditions to see if organic compounds would dissolve in liquid methane. Well, the video didn't have the experiments conclusion, but I took it upon myself to email the scientist involved (Chris McKay) and ask him what the conclusions were. As it turns out, they were able to get some to dissolve, albeit (and not surprisingly) very slowly. The spectrum of just where we might find life may swing wide open here fellas :D.

Chris said that they are preparing a paper to report their findings, which of course I'm asking for a copy - I'll be sure to share that as well ;).
