Oolite Bulletins

Hi there,
New to oolite - so very glad to have found it - so many happy memories of elite.

I have read through the manual and FAQ, so sorry if this is something already discussed.

is there any way to make the keyboard steering of the spacecraft smoother? I pan or rotate left or right to line up for docking or battle, and the ship jumps a few button pushes worth - even on a short press or tap. Makes docking difficult (yeah, blame the keyboard and not the new commander!). Ive been able to find out how to remap the keys to what I want (thank you FAQ), but I cant see anyway to slowdown or smooth out the keyboard navigation.

Hope this makes sense - any and all suggestions gratefully received.

I am just reading up on the expansion packs - I guess that one is my first stop.

(The downside is that now I can not blame my docking crashes on the keyboard lag!!) off to practice manual docking again -its been a while.....

Total euphoria here. Loved Elite on both BBC and Amiga, cant believe I get to play it again. Starting to get the hand of docking again, but forgot how rubbish my basic lasers are. Back in the game as a newbie, not all powerful with my ECM and military lasers, and loving trading to get enough money for the first upgrade.
