This sad news has not been widely reported, but there is a piece
here from the Hollywood Reporter.

Just found out about this ten minutes ago.
Really sad now.
I never got the chance to meet him or see him in real life - he was supposed to attend the Wolf 359 convention in Blackpool in 96 but he cancelled at the last minute.
I've never seen an actor who could get so much acting into his voice as Michael O'Hare. People at the time of B5 used to call him wooden, but I disagreed - his eyes and his voice carried more animation than the rest of his face put together and that, believe me, was all he needed.
A great actor and from what I hear about him, a great man.
I'll go raise a glass to him after work.
B5 is losing main cast actors at an alarming rate. Star Trek has lost relatively few by comparison.

Very sad to hear that news too.
(I'm not exactly back - just passing through - but will be passing through more regularly as I build up to normal service again)
If you were at Wolf 359 in 96 (Norbreck Castle Hotel?) then there is a chance we actually met back then (or at least passed in a corridor!)

Ships passing in the night, eh? Sad news though, and he was only sixty. <gulps - waves at El Cuervo>

Hi DH, glad you could pop in. Hope to see you again soon under happier circumstances.

That's the one. Wow...small world. Do you remember the fire alarms? They were loads of fun, especially the one that went off during the toga party. Hundreds of people standing outside on a balmy night wearing sheets.

Ah, the damn fire alarms - the same thing happened at Sol III too (which may have been 1995) - happy, drunken, silly times.

All my memories of any "toga party" at any Star Trek convention invariably degenerated as the alcohol flowed as to what was worn beneath said toga...

Don't - it's a scary thought.
I wasn't as "big boned" back then - I was clad in a centurion's uniform. Short pleated "skirt", leather overshirt, plastic short sword and all...
And, of course, carrying a Peter David novel under one arm in the hopes of getting it signed by the man himself (which I did at the party)...
