Thanks Captain Beatnik.
The idea is that I will add additional models to this oxp from time to time so hopefully in the long term we will have a good selection of models randomly spawned upon the destruction of ships equipped with escape pods.
I have also put together a Wiki page which you can view following the link in my signature strip if you are interested.

Oh gawd they are faster than standard pods? I'll chasing those things all over the systems!

To be honest they are only slightly faster than the standard escape pods however I do intend at some stage to release a rare luxury high speed pod.

I rather like that idea... different speeds for different types of escape pod? The flashy, expensive ones would be faster, of course.

Cool... it's probably possible to script a VIP occupant for such a pod.

Wow, lovely! There's something really wonderful about your texturing style, and this is such a nice atmospheric screenshot, looks like a fab piece of painted concept art from a movie or something!

Hi all,
Very nice looking pod.
Shipbuilder, I downloaded and installed the oxp, and I have a question.
2 files (info.plist and requires.plist) are at the root of the folder GalTech_Escape_Pods_V1.00, so out of the .oxp folder. Is it normal and thus they are not used or should I move them inside .oxp folder?
Thanks
Kas
Edited for typo...

Cheers Griff very much appreciated.
I just need to get in to the use of shaders at some point.
Having said that there is always much to learn.

Kasero - Unlike other .plist files the info.plist and requires.plist are actually supposed to be out of the oxp folder, (All other .plist files are stored in .oxp folders), so no don't move them. The OXP is as it should be.

Just to clarify, info.plist and requires.plist should be in the parent XXX.oxp folder, but not in any of the folders within (eg Config). The structure of an OXP is detailed
here on the Wiki.

No, it's not. The info.plist and requires.plist are of course supposed to be
inside the OXP folder. How else would they be readable for Oolite? The OXP folder is the only thing you move into AddOns, after all. Everything outside the OXP folder can and will be discarded and thrown away.
Thus, currently, this OXP has neither info.plist nor requires.plist. If it's not inside the OXP, it doesn't exist.
@ Kasero: the good news is that neither of them is strictly necessary for the functioning of the OXP.

Apologies Kasero I gave you an incorrect answer to your question earlier (I really should make sure I read queries more thoroughly in future).
As Commander McLane and Smivs say the info.plist and requires.plist should be inside the .oxp folder (But not in the Config folder).
I will amend this and reissue as V1.01.
For anyone who has already downloaded this oxp you can simply move these 2 folders in to the .oxp folder, (But not within any folders within the oxp), or simply download the update that I will post shortly.

OK all should be OK now.
