Wow! There is an Atari ST version!
Shall I drive the 150 km to my parents' place and dig through the basement? Probably not right now.
And nothing for my current computer.

You can get emulators for the ST. I have used them in the past, although I have still got an STe and also a Falcon upstairs.
The best emulators for Windows are Steem, SainT and PaCifiST. Steem is also being developed for Linux, but I don't think its released yet. I believe there may be Mac emulators for the ST but I don't know anything about them.
AFAIK, the only one thats still supported (and still being developed!) is Steem. Get it from
here. I think you will also need a TOS ROM image, get them
here.

Ditto.
But looking at the bottom of the homepage, this would put me off anyway

I've still got the Amiga version of that game. A very hardcore sim for its time.

What? Notepad is the only PURE way to write a webpage! None of your "frontpage" or "dreamweaver" auto-generated, padded out, tag-heavy crap, just pure HTML straight from the heart.
Now I use Notepad++ just for the fact that it remembers your location on a line when you move the cursor up and down, but that's it. Any changes I make to code pages are still pure notepad.
Anyway. Relevant comment. I used to have Shuttle on the Amiga. It was quite involved, as I remember - kind of the spiritual ancestor of Orbiter. Still good though.

For those wanting some hardcore(ish) spaceflight sims, you could take a look at
Lunar Flight - you get to pilot a lunar module between various moonbases, carrying cargo and doing missions.

It may have been M$, but the best space sim I've played is still
Space Simulator - Newtonian mechanics, a couple dozen stars (real) with planetary systems (fictitious) to explore, as well as some deep space objects like nebulae and globular clusters. One could also fly a lunar landing mission, or a space shuttle mission, for keeping it modern, and sported a two excellent sci-fi exploration ships and one cargo ship (although nothing could be transported in it - one of Oolite's big pluses in my book
).

I just bought myself a copy of Lunar Flight.
Turns out I would suck as a LEM pilot. Definitely need to watch the tutorial videos.
!m!

I'm sure most of you have checked Orbiter out already but anyways...

It's pretty good, like Oolite it's all about the addons and how you choose to build your game.
I've done a Moon mission in real time and established a base, that was probably my greatest achievement, it took months.
Everything from ground crews, fuel and supplies, launch windows, keeping all personnel alive (lost a flight crew when I botched a supply run, they're still out there somewhere).
I know of a dude on the Orbiter forums who has done a mars mission in real time, that's like 2 years!
The learning curve is tough for beginners but I'm deeply grateful for the knowledge of orbital mechanics and now appreciate the logistical nightmare that space exploration really is.
I had my own island base where my own private space venture company operates from.
I liked it so much I even made a video...
