[Re-release] Long Range Scanner

Hi, I wanted to do something useful so I had a crack at extending the functionality of Okti's Long Range Scanner. I would appreciate any feedback and will try my best to correct any errors.
The revision can be downloaded from:

I rather like how the columns are lined up when searching for ships/items/stations in a system.

Switeck - do you still have a copy of this?

Yes...but I've modified it so much I'm not sure what's the original anymore.
I'm not sure I have the original .zip file for v3.11 of Long Range Scanner...may be on the HDD that died/got formatted/misplaced -- it's been a few years.

We could take whatever you got and stuff it in version control. You current status would then simply be the next version.

Hiran - bear in mind that this OXP is a cheat! (But
very useful for testing).
In my opinion it wrecks the game, and will do so for many others.
But then of course Telescope was seen as cheat by some, whereas I'd argue that it enhances the game.

Here's a compilation of a few Long Range Scanner versions...that I could find.
https://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/File: ... rsions.zip
The main thing I use Long Range Scanner for is quick-jumping around the system to observe ship traffic, battles, and to jump near stations to dock quickly.
OBVIOUSLY a cheat, but for the kind of testing I do...the only tool that works well for checking stuff in-system in a hurry!
As for jumping to other systems...I have my own tools.
Among those, both Misjump Inducer and Variable Jump Drive OXPs aren't even cheats...but use with caution.

Sounds like cheats for some people, and like OXP development tools for others.
I believe that deserves a slot on the expansion manager, maybe even a new category.

Cheats for players, tools for devs! The misjump was originally a dev tool.

There are a number of OXPs which could go in as OXP Development Tools.
*Library OXP's
MatFinder
*Library OXP's DevTools
*Library OXP's StarMap Demo
*Library OXP's Animator Demo
*Library OXP's Orchestral Music Demo
Plus
these (Stuff for Programmers)
And then there are also the non-OXPs (.dat Converters
et al).

Thank you for this! It should be interesting to see how it has developed since Okti's version!

Misjumping was a dev tool in the original Elite game?
