Bug/malfuncion: newtonian engine thrust

Hi there.
By some times, after having used the fuel injection, my vessel leads towards the last "injected" leading direction, disregarding of my current heading. That makes aiming very difficult, so I get in real troubles when in the middle of a crowded battle.
The engine thrust takes a relative long time to get back to its natural position, about 20 secs, so the leading.
Here the screensaves:

I had the same issue on my old PCC, on the Caduceus as shown, and on my freshly bought Vortex.
BTW: the Guardian defense system is malfunctioning even on Vortex, at first engage the drones crashed into each other or into my ship.
Does anyone know about this "newtonian behave" of the injectors? Is it a bug?

Plz help as I am a bit in troubles (it happens often and often).
Thx in advance.

Are you using standard injectors or OXP mil injectors? I can't help with your problem, but there is a trace of 'Newtonian' behaviour in Oolite.

On PCC and Caduceus I had military injectors..now Vortex doesn't support them. But same result.
I really don't understand..
When it happens, I can't even get to a full stop. I shut down the engine, but the ship continues to move forward.... :x

Vortex has them built in, so doesn't need them as an add-on.

The mil injectors work by adding to the ships velocity, which takes a while to decay afterwards. It's not a bug, it's how they are supposed to work. If you want to stop sooner, turn around and thrust in the opposite direction.

The velocity will decay away on its own, but it can take a while. Especially if you've been on injectors for a while and have built up quite a bit of it.
