Just wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of a high-res version of the original elite logo:

Thanks for those, but it is the blue logo from the original BBC version I'm after.

If nothing turns up I'll have to do a trace of it, unless anyone out there has an original BBC set that they can scan in high res for me?

Hmm, I could only find a blue logo in the NES version. MobyGames has cover art and screenshots for every version that I am aware of - where is yours from? A manual?

That's the same as the logo on Ian Bell's site, I think... but re-shaped some.

Thats the original BBC version manual cover logo.

The one on Ian's site seems to be a bit squashed for some reason.
If you download the manual, it's fine:

I guess my memory of the original box art is a little off.
I thought the cover art for the BBC version, the nice shot of the Cobra approaching a station, was front he cover of The Dark Wheel and the Blue logo was the one on the box art.

Damn, now I'm really confused.

"el_00-01.gif" in that zip file looks like a good candidate for making a vector version, you could probably colour it blue yourself afterwards, or ask some artists here for help.

Apparently there are two versions of the Dark Wheel cover. I only own the Firebird version myself. Maybe the people at the Official Elite Forums could help you too, although their focus seems to be mostly on FE2 and FFE.

If it's just the blue colour you care about, I've whipped up something in GIMP ... but I get the feeling you want the actual shape as well.

In all honesty I was just trying to get the original BBC Elite logo, but it seems there are a few that I could choose from.

I get the feeling that the blue logo in the manual was drawn by someone different from the main cover art version.
They are a little different and I suspect it was redrawn by whoever did the other pieces of artwork in the original manual.
I love that drawn shot of the command deck of a Cobra MK3 using a BBC as the console and an old CUB monitor.
