Oolite Bulletins

I remember getting Tribbles in Elite and they were a big PITA, so I am quite happy not to buy them in OOLITE.



I don't plan on wasting a game file to try it btw.

They're called Trumbles.

And we've all been there and done that.

And the information you're posting there is considered something of a spoiler for new players.

We try to be careful about spoilers here, as some players like to work things out for themselves.

To make things even more interesting, if you install the "Pods"oxp you can sometimes even pick them up in space!

What I would like to see is the offer to be sold Trumbles to be offered to you throughout the game. Not just once and then never again. But not too regularly, once every 500 jumps or so would be nice.

I think that this is what happens ... I was offered a trumble a few days ago, despite having knocking on Cr2 million.

I get the repeated offer too goddam often! I think this is because my main Commander has never accepted it!

Seriously, your life is lacking some Trumbles. You don't know what you've missed.

I'd fly with one or two on board all the time, if I could.

Ah, yes, if you turn it down you do get it repeated. But if once you accept it, as far as my game has went I have never been offered it for the second time.

As it happens, I know exactly what I have 'missed' - and I really do not miss it!

Mmm... I've always turned the nice offer down, however I did manage to get an infestation (probably from some cargo pod). My poor Cobbie almost turned white trying to evict it. Got rid of it though.

If you never accept then the offers will eventually stop. Depending on which order you play certain native and OXP missions, though, the offers might start again later and continue without end until you accept.
