Go to Google maps, and click on "Quest" in the top right corner to instantly retro-game your world!

Damn!

I have a college assignment to do today; now I'm going to be up all night doing it.

Go to Loch Ness and zoom in. There's one monster. :D

StreetView is weird. I think they should have stuck to EGA colours ... maybe Google's developers are too young to have played games in EGA!

It has a tendency to put coastal towns in the sea.

Oh, yes. The same two propeller heads appeared in Seattle outside what I thought was a burger bar, but there were plenty of offices too.

Checks ... "Seattle Engineering and Sales Office, Waterside Building, 651 N. 34th Street, Seattle, WA 98103" would have been what I was looking at.

I was looking to see if the Troll Bridge in Seattle was featured - it isn't. But it should have been.

Got another. :D

Western USA --> Nevada --> Las Vegas. Go North North West and there's a lake. Just to the south of that lake is Area 51 ... where an alien in a spaceship is teleporting a cow on board!

Thats interesting.

How about playing a real game based on Google Maps?

Try Parallel Kingdom, here.

I'm completely hooked to it. What is it? A Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game, where the whole real world is the basis of the game.

NB: if you join the game with the above link, I get some credits! :)

At Googleplex , 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View there's a dinosaur surrounded by flamingoes, a green robot thingy and the two propeller-heads.

Yeah, I had that at Stonehenge - turns out there's nothing there.

I did find the two guys hanging about near the Sphinx though! The North pole turns out to be somewhat outside the map. The leaning tower of Pisa and Ayers Rock have their own images...

Since you posted the link, its content is updated with a solution of all monsters. The person on the Mt Everest, it no monster, but just a mountaineer passing by. For Yeti, you must travel south. Search for "Nepal, Dhurkot" and you should find it.
Nessie seems also not on the list of monsters, but is just one of the other artifacts on the map. Like a piece of the chineese wall.

And no monsters in the Netherlands or Belgium. I could have sworn that one lived next door.
