Possible spoiler alert . Sorry.

With the inclusion of the Assasins Guild oxp a major space battle against thargoids takes place at Geteve in Galaxy 7.. The Heat of battle, especially surrounding the station is completely awesome and really keeps the player on their toes.

Is there anything comparable without the Mission based oxp that might introduce a major confrontation to the game out there? I do have thargoid wars installed but the action thus far seems a little sedentary and quiet stable in so far as confrontations max out at 6 vessels to be taken out and perhaps a max of 24 robot fighters compared to the mega battle of Geteve with 150 + opponents.

PS I do see the disadvantages of such a proposition in so far that it might accelerate a players progress towards Elite status.

Some of the missions in [wiki]Galactic Navy[/wiki] involve major Thargoid incursions into systems...

I have now used TCAT...Galaxy 3 exclusive..Assasssins Guild ...Galaxy 7 and finally gone for Galactic navy as it is apparently Ooniverse wide and involves repeated major Thargoid engagements.

I suppose that  furball.oxp could be what you're looking for.

TCAT is indeed nice, and can be really tough near the end!

I have added Furball to my add ons now, and thanks to Capt murphy's Thargoid witchdrive I have discovered something of a Hive World in one of the Systems on the other side of the great rift in G7. A veritable Cauldron to throw one's self into.
