I just got a message that my box account has been upgraded to 50GB with a 100MB file size limit. A little investigation reveals that this is a promotion by BOX.COM that I stumbled upon by accident. It's still going on if you have an android device, see
here for details.
Anyway, here is an extract of the FAQ at BOX.COM:

LG Android phones and tablets: Now through 6/30/12, download Box for Android on your device and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
Sony Tablet S and Tablet P: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
HP TouchPad: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for TouchPad on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
RIM PlayBook: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for PlayBook on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.

I just logged in from my android tablet. And you are right I got the following welcome message:
You've been upgraded to a lifetime 50 GB Box account for cloud storage and sharing. Congratulations!
The only problem I had until now is that I receive the files from box with random names. (Only tested wit zip files till now) Probably not random, but the full name of the zip was changed into numbers. That however seems to be fixed in the current version of the software.
Yesterday I installed the Astro filemanager for testing it and I see that that one can look into zip files and even read the pdf file inside the zip. I can even browse through the zipfile without formally downloading it. In that case its still downloaded but sits in a cache file on my tablet. When I download it, it created also parent folders in the structure of my box account to synchronise it in structure. Nice
Filetransfer between mac and android tablet is a bit problematic, so there the box might be handy. Till now I could send it to my synology nas with ds-file. But two weeks ago they updated the program. Nice new features, but most of the time it now crashes on opening. Probably not tested well on old android 2.2

As I don't have any of them, would anyone be willing to assist in covertly helping me get my account upgraded?

If people are offering to help upgrade, might I tag along and ask for some help too? The larger file size limit would be incredibly useful...

So, providing Box don't check IP/MAC addresses - it should be possible to log on to multiple Box accounts from the Box app on a single Android phone and get the upgrade for each of those?
(and that Android user would need the user email and password for that account...)
