I know that I am still kind'a new around here so, consider my opinion for whatever it's worth, you have done an awesome job on these ships.

I just had the missfortune of loosing my main computer (motherboard failure) so I am using a backup computer and it doesn't have a video card that supports shaders so I am currently in that catagory of those that play the game without shaders. In the future, I think I will be less likely to take some of the more simple things for granted.

Well done CaptSolo!

I almost start regretting that my computer can handle shaders when looking at those ships.

Thanks but be warned if you like brightly colored ships. I am maintaining Griff's color palette more or less. I prefer muted colors and like to have warm and cool greys in the same texture for complementary effects.

Nice job CaptSolo. :D
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Cobra's completed. Each ship has three color schemes:

Have completed the Asp, Constrictor, Fer-de-Lance (both Griff models), and Gecko. Am also making a shipyards-override OXP for purpose of taking screen shots of non-player-flyable ships. Normally would do that encountering them in game but never can depend on good positions and lighting whilst being blasted from several different directions. Also toying with the idea of applying Griff's decals to some of the textures.

Try spawning them after a jump (this.shipWillExitWitchspace) with a nullAI.plist. There's never anyone around and they just sit there making for easy screenshots from any angle. Spawn two or three and at least one will also have great lighting.

Have just such a script so the question is, why didn't I think to use it.

Thanks Smivs.

Stumbled upon an idea today and tested it. By using Griff's normal map texture, desaturated of course, and added as a layer using soft light blending with the diffuse texture, the result produces a rather smart pseudo 3D effect without muddying up the original diffuse texture. But I am wondering if it is worth the extra work required.

We need to see a pic or two, Solo.

They do look incredible.

The one oxp I really like makes it seem like the government is realistic. The registrations id seems only to work only with the core ships any chance that someone can update for both non shading and shading that would be cool.

More or less its licence plates for the ships but it adds for me a cool realism for me..

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated thanks
Thanks
