I dunno about that.. some of their tech is better than ours.. and some of ours was inspired by theirs..

Don't confuse strange (to us) behaviour with lack of intelligence..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Thargoids have minds immeasurably superior to ours - they just don't know how to deal with parking meters!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Right ok lol... but they could just be using the technology while some bigger thing person/alien could be supplying it to them...

Who knows maybe they have some powerful weapon up there sleeve that there about to pull out like a Black Hole Emitter and maybe ( i dunno) they mainly hide in a hidden galaxy called Galaxy 9 ( i might write a book on that actually) ;) :P
Are you aware of the books that have already been written about them?

[wiki]Incursio[/wiki] and [wiki]Finis[/wiki] especially deal with some of the inner workings of Thargoid culture (including a fearsome new weapon), but I'd recommend that you read the complete [wiki]Oolite Saga[/wiki] anyway, beginning with [wiki]Status Quo[/wiki] and [wiki]Mutabilis[/wiki].
