[RELEASE] PrimableLaser OXP OMG!

Here is the readme.
PrimableLaser by Okti

Introduction:

Based on new technology gained from a captured alien ship, our scientists have developed this secondary forward laser. It is not always reliable, but can be very effective at mid to long range once a commander has learned how to use it correctly. Treat it well and it’ll serve you well! The Primable Laser will only be available to commanders of Deadly rating and above, and currently has two upgrades which will be available to commanders who deserve it… and who have enough credits to buy it.

Available at 14 TL or higher systems. Also you must calibrate it to your ship when purchased.

Known Problems:

This weapon must not be used on the mission ships for the last hit to kill.

Installation:

Unzip the file, and then move the folder "PrimableLaser.oxp" to the AddOns directory of your Oolite installation. Then start the game up and the equipment should be added.


Credits:

Smivs: for inventing the laser array for the Annihilator, and also the Wonder Worm.

El Viejo: for balancing an uber weapon to a playable one, correcting the texts, and testing.

Fatleaf: for testing and making comments about how to improve it.

Commander McLane: for nicking and adopting his code.

It is a primable equipment, so press "n" key to activate it after you selected "Primable Military Laser" with Shift+N after you bought it after you achieved 512 kills (or commented out this condition in equipment.plist file which is cheating but you can do it "for testing purposes" ;) ).

I'm testing this piece of equipment level II and observed 2 odd things :
- if I hit with primable laser locked target but don't kill him, my killcount is incremented
- primable laser don't turn off cloak

Now, I'm making money for Level III :twisted:

EDIT :
Level III acquired ! Awesome firepower ! It is deadly weapon as plasma accelerator from Status Quo and Mutabilis...

With Level II I destroyed around 20 ships, with Level III 50 ships. Then I returned to old savegame.

I've looked at the code but don't understand why this would happen.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna make a companion OXP to this one (since it seems to work better than Multiple Forward Lasers by CSOB) and give core NPC ships two lasers.

And oh yeah, add beam and pulse lasers to this thing, since they are all military lasers :P

BTW is there any way to enforce a cooldown on the primable laser?
