needless to say, i failed at the first hurdle

typical tho, that the first thing people do is put the solution on the net to show how clever they are. so now (a) they're creating competition for themselves as people who actually did it would've been in w/ the chance of a job, and (b) it's rendered the whole thing pointless as they won't know now if applicants solved it or just googled it >:-/
