It's a beautiful ship.

It's not an adder, but it's beautiful.

It's no snake....more bird like.

It's a Hummingbird or a Swallow.

How about "Moloch" (aka "Thorny Devil") - as they have lots of protrusions...

It's a Galnavy prototype for either an atmospheric fighter-bomber or a close air support gunship (but it should have a belly turret for that).

I like this. :)
Also this name would hint at the "mightiness" of this ship - the specs are closer to a Cobra 3 than to those of an Adder, I think.

She's a beauty. I'll test fly her later today.

That's a very nice ship. :) May I now state the obvious and recommend that ship creators have some respect for the original ships in the various versions of elite. It is the responsibility of the ship creator to research the name and insure that is does not conflict with elite heritage. When you target a ship at range and the name appears, you should instantly have an image in your head as to what ship you are dealing with. If the name causes confusion to make you expect, in this case, something that looks, acts, and performs like an adder, it will break immersion and the enjoyability of the game when you find something totally different. Imagine the confusion caused to a noobie seeing this ship next to the original adder.
As for what to name it, take it's prominent characteristics, take the impression you get when you first see it and come up with something. You can use an internet search to come up with stuff related to words used to describe your ship if you need more ideas.
For example, when I look at it, the impression I get from its design is a soaring bird of prey, an atmospheric capable planetary patrol ship. From this point you would come up with a name and cross reference with the oxp ship list on the wiki to be sure it hasn't been taken.
If I had to name it, I have a vision of an evil flying dinosaur and would follow a fighter craft style naming convention. Perhaps the "Pterosaur X-4" would be what I would name it. Your ship even almost looks the part. Check out more info on the wiki.

Anyway, good luck with your ship, whatever you decide to name it. It's very nice. :D

Unless someone else has used the name for an OXP ship, 'Mosquito' seems fairly appropriate based upon its shape and the spike at the front.

The Mosquito Trader and Mosquito Sport are already used.

Has 'Shrike' (the butcher bird) been used before?
