Just came out of a conversation in the IRC channel:
I have suggested:
Turn-based First-person Flight-Sim
and
Duke Nukem 5: Dating Sim
CommanderSandJ came up with this:
A LinkedIn add-on for The Sims
Any more suggestions?

Sorry, I can't let you have that.
One of my favourite After Dark screensavers was Lawnmower Man.

And it looks like somebody has actually thought of it too!

I have been sat here trying to think of the most irrelevant, inappropriate and pointless human-game-replacement and I cannot get beyond Strip Poker. What possible point is there to a challenging game where a non-real person gets their pixellated clothes off? A game that relies totally on human presence and interaction for both the "strip" part and the "poker" part.
And yet, when I first got into computers, that was just the sort of thing that was doing the rounds, passed on via BBS or floppy disk, and getting everyone trying to find excuses to upgrade their computer to one with a CGA card.
Link to rather pathetic sample images:
Strip Poker examples <--- Not suitable for work, despite being more tame than anything you can now see on daytime TV or roadside advertising posters.
Leather Goddesses of Phobos, anyone?

A hilarious classic from Steven Meretzky of Infocom fame. While I didn't play this one much it certainly sits amongst my complete collection of Infocom games, collecting dust.

And from their games manuals' hint section:
This latter one still applies today
Those were the times...

Ooh, I've thought of one. "Windows Installer: The Game".
You take the role of Fred Gumby, Support Technician at Heartless Industrials and are tasked with installing and upgrading Windows software on a variety of PCs, with each allocated support call getting more challenging. Examples include "Corrupt Windows ME Registry", "Printing to a Unix print queue in Windows 2000", "Fixing a Vista graphics driver" and "Sharing folders between different versions of Windows".
It increases the enjoyment and challenge by randomly emulating the potential issues Fred comes across, such as stroppy users, impossible deadlines, defective hardware and keyboards with the wrong country keycaps on.
A fun, educational and rewarding experience for any aspiring IT professional.
"Windows Installer: The Game" only runs on XBox, Linux and Macs. Of course.
