Wow, even the commander is visible inside the cockpit. Wonderful attention to detail, Raytheon!

this abandoned topic need fresh wind

at first, great models Selezen, I wil sure build all, but now I have broken left hand (and 3 screws in the forearm :/ ), it will take a while

I have installed OXP Torus Stations and really like Torus Station - Tradecenter, It led me to the idea to build
a some paper models from Oolite universe (in future sure Torus stations too)

python conversion files not works (rather, I don't know, how to use them), .obj file from .dat file is small and Blender
can't import it, but thanks to another_commander I have all .obj files with oolite models and work in sketchup can start

first it was necessary to determine the size of objects that the ship library did not have the dimensions

Image

by size it was to be chosen scale, ships 1:1000, stations and asteroids 1:6000 and my first attempt with bigger asteroid
in pepakura designer

Image

it is possible print asteroid on a gray thin cardboard (about 150gr/m2), but in the future I am sure need help with
obtaining textures for ships

that is awesome, You've also managed to match the white/blue lighting like in the old ship ID chart :)

There are a lot of cat people around here, and we know how a cat person without a cat always has a small emptiness, a hole in their life. Hopefully one day another cat will be able to adopt you.

@ spud42 - in case of interest I can upload .pdo files, no problem

my pal has been 16 year old :(

@ Smivs - I have in work some adepts
(photo from 2012: white/red cat say- It was the end of the world, the black cat- was not!)

because I´m big Fallout* fan, this is lifesize T51b power armor helmet, from Star Wars have still in progress 2 lifesize helmets, rebel X-Wing pilot and Stormtrooper helmet

* I really love Fallout and Fallout 2 (and change a lot of graphics signs from EN to CZ version), Fallout Tactics was too not bad, but this FPS like style F3 is not for me, F4 is something between :P

thx Cody, you made my day, Cat killed in action  now I have about 6 on board, Smivs cat included :P

asteroid texture version finished too and animated asteroid

now I try rock hermit, but Metasequoia use only 256x256 dots on texture picture and texture on rock may be a bit fuzzy

 and meanwhile in real life

today I found out how to change the size of textures in Metasequoia and some attempts with them (1024vs256 pixels) in MS Paint
(I´m only edited them, not created, of course)
