Oolite Bulletins

Greetings!

Installed Oolite a couple of weeks back, as I had fond memories of playing Elite at a friends house on his 64 in the late 80s. Glad the game remains much as I remember it! One of the better "hey, that looks familiar.." moments in recent history.

Anyhow, in my travels I've come across a few derelict ships. Clearly I cannot scoop up a Python or similar with my Cobra (yes, I have tried).. it seems a shame that I appear to have no other option than to leave it or destroy it. The intact ship is considerably more valuable than a ton of alloy and the chance at some cargo, or so I would believe having ogled some on the showroom floor.

Are there any options / OXPs that allow for towing these vessels? The scavenger in me would appreciate it!

Yes, there is. You need Deep Space Dredger OXP to slavage ships, although I gather it's not as straighforward as you may like. It's not an OXP I use myself.
