(WIP) Buzzard Mass Transporter

At the moment, this post is a place-holder for an NPC ship OXP I will hopefully be putting together.

The mass transporter is in effect a long thin tube with a cockpit at one end and a huge engine at the other. It is loaded and unloaded in orbit, with cargo pods being netted together and attached to the central tube. Once loaded it will jump to a nearby system's witchpoint and cruise sedately towards the planet. Transports and their escorts may appear in any system, regardless of governemtn type and tech level.

The transporter itself will be lightly armed, but due to the large amount and value of it's cargo it will be heavily escorted, making it a significant challenge for any would-be raider. The reward for a succesful pirate will be 40 to 50 cargo pods with various contents. Obviously attacking an unloaded transport will yield far less, if anything.

I envisage the base stats as being roughly equivalent to the Anaconda. The mass transporter will not be fitted with an escape pod, so there will be no derelicts to take to the ship yard.

You should check out the hammerhead, that has an awesome cargo loading-unloading system that may be similar to what you are trying to achieve

As well as that, also look at my Conger hauler (also in Aquatics along with the aforementioned Hammerhead) which is also along similar lines.

if you want, a HUD and some background spiel to add to the universe, give the thing that little bit more character by having a backstory or whatever.
