Does anybody knows the status of the [wiki]Sturgeon_Mk.I[/wiki] in the commies.oxp? In the current Commies version of commies this ship has been renamed to "Commissar's Limousine". That name is mentioned between the lines in that wiki page, but should become more prominent as name of the ship.

In the commies oxp there exist a dat file with the name "sturgeon" but is never used and was probably a first draft of a ship Dr. Nil forgot to remove.

Hi Amaranth,

how is it going with releasing an OXP? I just remembered your beautiful textures when I updated some other Wiki pages. Now that Capt. Murphy organized the Retextures efforts by providing guidelines on replacing vs. adding, maybe there is some useful information in it for you as well.

Sorry I have been away for quite a while, I've been having a few pressing issues to take care of in the real world unfortunatley including computer and connection problems. I intend to issue the addon as purely a texture replacement, rather than a full OXP replacement, i.e. you just paste the textures folder in th the existing one and it will overwrite the original ones.

No rush, was just hoping that you didn't disappear for good. Real life takes priority.

Hi all, sorry about the absence.

Here is the first version of Commies Retextures.

Please note that this only contains textures and you need to paste the textures folder over the original one.

It seems to work OK on my machine, however please let me know if you have any problems. Some of the textures are fairly large and might lag on slower machines.

If there's any bugs, like reversed textures, I will address in a later issue.

Yes!.

Thanks a bunch, Amaranth.
I have been waiting in anticipation for this one. Commies was showing it's age, and found it hard to fit into mo Ooniverse. :D

Great limousine, love the commuter bus texture and the astromine makeover. Unfortunately the two Commie systems I visited didn't boast a ZGF but I hope there will be more time tomorrow to take it all in. I spotted a couple of guard ships at the astromine and they are also splendid with distinctive livery.
