Help neeed in Galaxy 4
I'm not sure if this is the place ........ but I need some help, advice, or just generally someone elses experience in Galaxy 4, on missions, Deposed and or Lovecats. I've know that the oxps works up to a point because I get instructions to go places and do things the problem is I can't find Romeo (lovecats) in the system he was last seen in, and in Deposed Iam to go to a system and destroy some pirates but I can't seem to find them. Is it possible the two oxps aren't working together, I've also heard that the mission Nova may also come into play. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated !

Re: Help neeed in Galaxy 4
I think it's generally advisable to play only one mission at a time, if only to avoid getting confused about where you have to go and what you have to do for each of the missions. So I'd advise you to temporarily remove one of the OXPs, finish the other mission, re-install the removed OXP and continue where you left off. You can safely remove and later re-install a mission OXP. This has no influence on your save-game, so you'll continue at exactly the same point where you are now.
I don't remember well, but the Wiki states that Lovecats will only start after you have finished the Nova mission, so if you already started Lovecats, you must have finished Nova, and there shouldn't be any problems with that.

Re: Help neeed in Galaxy 4
Thanks Commander,
It won't be a problem to remove lovecats oxp and since I've posted I got another clue about the pirates form deposed on the planet info screen, not really much information about where but that they do exist. I'm not sure, but seeing how Nova is a native mission does that just start up by itself or do I need to do something special? I'm not sure that I've finished Nova or even started it! Is there a way to check how close or if I'm ready for that mission? Thanks once again C M for your time and anticipated responce!

Re: Help neeed in Galaxy 4
I've just looked into the lovecats.oxp to find out its relation to the Nova mission. Contrary to the information I found in the Wiki it does not wait for the Nova mission to be finished, but instead postpones it.
Therefore (and without giving anything away about the Nova mission—you'll recognize it when you see it) I would now advise you to temporarily de-install Deposed and finish Lovecats first. Re-install Deposed as soon as you're done with Lovecats and continue to play from where you are. This is the best order to finish all the missions.

Re: Help neeed in Galaxy 4
Ok I'll remove deposed and try to finish lovecats I guess I'll know when
nova starts the name is kind've a hint i would guess! Commander if you're still there and if I may ask another silly question off the topic ...... I've installed quite a few griff oxps and most seem to work i.e. new textured ships almost every one is newly textured except mine is that normal? I fly a cobra mark III and it's not changed (useing the view key V) also the exploding ships and debrie doesn't seem to work as advertised even though I remember something about pating a config floder into the add on floder I may have screwed that up ... anyway thanks for your help and quick responses!

Hi slomoe... read down about six or seven posts from DH's linked post... that's possibly an easier method.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

I think that's been removed from the latest Griff all-in-one, and is now available as an individual oxp from Griff's box.slomoe wrote:also the exploding ships and debrie doesn't seem to work as advertised

Re: Help neeed in Galaxy 4
Correct - it was being rendered even if you couldn't see it and therefore was causing all but the bestest machines to chunk. So it's been modded - it only happens if the player has a chance to see it - and it's in its own OXP so you can add it if you want.El Viejo wrote:I think that's been removed from the latest Griff all-in-one, and is now available as an individual oxp from Griff's box.slomoe wrote:also the exploding ships and debrie doesn't seem to work as advertised
