Alternate site:
neolite core
neolite companion
The newer texture are not in the set yet.
Probably I should use a file hosting service like box.

Box.net wants ~ 10€ per month for 10 gigs of stuff and has a bandwidth in the ~ 50-100 gigs download per month range.

Thank you very much!
There were typos in the URL though, I corrected the links:
http://homepages.vodafone.co.nz/~corwin ... oxp.tar.gz

Thanks - corrected.
Seems I don't get to post a url of mine without typos. It's good that there are people savvy enough to investigate.
vodafone only give me 30MiB personal web space before they start charging at NZ$1/MiB. They have been unreliable in the past too, as the load increases, which is why I was hosting elswhere instead of moving up a plan.
domains4less actually cost me a bit less than box would. I think whats needed is a kind of photobucket for files ... there was oosat2...

I just use the free service option on Box (slightly less provided than the one L has), but that works fine for me...

That's why I always copy and paste URLs - or even tinyurl them - I'm like you, it's just too easy to make typos in URLs

Original site is back.
I'm starting postgrad work - which is likely to cramp my style a bit. I'll focus on getting the new textures out. I take it everyone likes the coriolis textures for default?
Be warned, the alternative links will stop working soon.

I have updated the neolite.oxp to include the new textures for fer de lance, coriolis, and sidewinder.
fer de lance - yellow with a red dragon image. Also a new model - tidying some aspects of the other one, includding the uv-map. The art-crew promised chrome trim - still waiting ;)
sidewinder - snake skin pattern with sculls
coriolis - you've seen.
I can send the YAH sidewinder skins with an effectsmap to anyone who wants to make a patch. They go with the existing models.
Slowwllly shifting the newer models from concepts.
In the pipeline:
neolite-aegidean
neolite-wolfwood
rh-neolite-patch
yah-neolite-patch(?)
Later - neolite-behemoth/navy oxp.

Yes please. Can I have them please
(Although I am not pretty sure if I am going to release a patch or completely change them inside the oxp)
After the release of 1.73 I am going to release a yah 4.1 (hopefully including set G) because there is a bug and a deprecated for 1.73 JS command.
from what i have seen in the latest version of random hits LB has copletely replace the non build in ships with versions from the neolite companion

Hi Simon,
on a sidenote, in your neolite core there is a ship with the key "boa-skiff-player" which has a shipdata entry but no shipyard entry. I just noted that this was not changed in your latest neolite.oxp.
Cheers

That is correct and intended.
You buy the boa and bcc with a lifeboat - the skiff.
The skiff has no witchdrive.
The reason for the player edition is in case someone wants to write a script so when a boa player ejects, they can continue on in (as) the skiff. When they dock, the insurance restores the whole craft - or they can tool around the system for a bit.
I don't even know if it is possible but it's there far anyone who wants to try.
Right now, NPCs get to eject in their skiff.
It is likely that used skiffs may become available for sale in an oxp. I have been impressed with the wisdom of minimising non-standard content in the core ship set. There is some resistance to even having the skiffs there.
I would like to be able to have player versions of non-witchdrive craft. But I need a way to stop a player initiated jump while allowing a player to follow an NPC.

What a concept! A lone wolf going whereever, erm... the ship in front has just gone.

New FDL skin. Cleaner without the black lines.

Yep - but not for the others.
The asps and the cobras are not replaced for eg.
If it relies on the companion remaining static, I'd better not seperate aegideans ships out...
Note: I have pm from Aegidean to mess with behemoth, and combine with navy. Technically don't need navy maintainer's permission (or aegideans) but it is nice.
Still need a consensus about using the megaships as behemoths - or do I modify the existing behemoths or what?
I also realise that I left the revised thargoid out of the core ships. Never mind - next review.
zevans wrote: A lone wolf going whereever, erm... the ship in front has just gone.
Well... that's what those mambas, kraits and sidewinders do. But this also opens up in-system mining craft et at and there are oxps which result in multiple in-system locations/activities.
Otherwise I'd feel honor bound to insist that player mambas are weakened someplace to accommodate the Torus.
