Yes, there are currently problems with terrastorage. The latest Windows nightly is missing too. Sorry about that, hope that normal service will be restored soon but unfortunately there are no guarantees when this will happen.

Terrastorage link is down due to internet provider issues since the 8th of March. :x
The windows nightly is missing due to build failure caused by an identified root cause.
Terrastorage link is supposed to be up by this Wednesday. Next nightly release, should deliver a Windows build too.

Still no service, capable enough to bring up the server. My apologies.

Thanks for letting us know! And no need to apologize. Without you, your time and energy, we wouldn't have this service at all!!!

Moving to the new provider seem to have resolved the issues.
Three months of practically unusable Internet service.

Terrastorage got rusty... I got rusty... mumble, mumble...
First attempt to recover from the three month hibernation, brought a new nightly only for Linux architectures. :?

I'm working on it to gradually restore the service.
I'll keep updating this post so as not to disrupt the peaceful silence of this place. :P

EDIT 2018-06-14 17:22 (EEST)
One more issue is that the terrastorage nightly status page is unreachable.
It seems that terrastorage has been forgotten and network packets cannot find their way to the site. Checking that too.
So for the time being to get the new Linux nightly, go to the GitHub OoliteProject/nightlies Releases.

EDIT 2018-06-15 00:05 (EEST)
Terrastorage is now reachable.
Windows and Mac nightly issues are still under investigation.

EDIT 2018-06-15 18:30 (EEST)
Windows nightly is fixed.
Oolite nightly release has been updated with the Windows binaries.
Mac nightly issues are still under investigation.

EDIT 2018-06-17 11:40 (EEST)
Mac nightly server is in trouble. I escalated this to Jens.
In the meantime, I will try to have Mac-nightly built ad-hoc.
Expect some lag in Mac nightly releases.

EDIT 2018-06-17 18:18 (EEST)
Mac nightly server is reported as fixed for now.
The end-to-end automated process will be verified with the next source code change.

EDIT 2018-06-18 11:26 (EEST)
With the Mac nightly engine back online this case is closed.
<!-- "Yeah, right!", the penguin thought and with a  smile on his face, he rushed back to the engine room.
"Was that a wifi adapter in his flipperpit?!? What's he up to, again?!?" Norby asked. :?
"Well, you know how them geekz are; can't fly with 'em, can't fly without 'em!" Cody replied.
"Let's hope our nightly engines will survive his 'ideas' this time!" Svengali added and a silent sigh escaped his fatigued chest. 8) -->

EDIT 2018-06-27 22:30 (EEST)
<!-- The penguin enters the bridge wearing a blue network cable as a scarf, risking to ridiculously choke himself.
He throws a stare over to the Commanders.
"Gentlemen, T-storage is now riding the µWaves!"
The silver-feathered penguin waddled towards the elevator leading back to the engine room. -->

Windows nightly failed due to nightly engine not being updated with the SDL_events.h change, as this is described in the mouse-wheel handling pull request #294.
I expect the nightly release to be updated with the Windows binaries within the next hour.

The Mac nightly server is still in trouble, so I will manually have a Mac-nightly built and have it ready by the time the Windows nightly is ready.

EDIT 2018-06-18 10:37 (EEST)
Mac nightly engine is back online.

Had a problem with the cwRsync auto-updater (64-bit) today. After updating, when I ran Oolite an error message said something about oolite.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Hi Cody.

I can't replicate the case. :(

I had installed the nightly release 2018-08-27 using the normal setup package.
I executed

Code: Select all

c:\Program Files (x86)\cwRsync>rsync.exe -rlvz --progress rsync://terrastorage.no-ip.info/oolite-trunk-windows_x64/* /cygdrive/c/Oolite-Trunk/.
and I moved to the nightly release 2018-09-02. No issues with the Oolite execution.
Then I installed the nightly release 2018-08-30. I once more, executed the rsync command and I moved to the nightly release 2018-09-02. No issues with the Oolite execution.

If I remember right, the last time I saw this,it was when we rsynced oolite-trunk-windows_x64 on a Windows 32bit platform. :?

Could you just retry by completely deleting oolite.exe and then executing rsync again?

EDIT #1: The filesize I get for 64bit oolite.exe is 6,182,912 bytes.
EDIT #2: Could you also try with the 32bit Oolite nightly? The relevant rsync command is

Code: Select all

c:\Program Files (x86)\cwRsync>rsync.exe -rlvz --progress rsync://terrastorage.no-ip.info/oolite-trunk-windows/* /cygdrive/c/Oolite-Trunk/.

Done. As is often the case after reporting an error, no problems this morning. Thanks, jefe. I tried several times yesterday, always with the same result. Ho-hum!

Damn edits! Done. Filesize is 6,182,912 bytes - and no problems with the 32-bit nightly either.

Sorry about the edits, esé!
Perhaps the issue came up by an interrupted connection.

Don't forget to resync back to your Oolite trunk 64bit!
