Say, could you be bothered to re-download the Missionaries and see if it downloads fine? I replaced my working texture for the Lyre with the fancy one I had on the backburner.
I was going to go for the damascus steel finish since I figure the Church of Giles would splurge on a nice hull, but it didn't look quite right, so I went with black lace. Maybe it's too much?
What utter fun! Just encountered a pilgrimage of Lyres and Adders (en-route to who knows where?) - what a superb spectacle!! Well done sir, a true enhancement to my game. I just hope that Giles himself gets to see them!

Yes where? We just don't know!
Thank you for the very nice reaction. Not that such sectarian pomp is actually in Giles' spirit, I think the irony makes the gag quite funny. On top of Dr.Nil's brill palette of course.

A palette of fish?

Lol. I didn't know brill was a fish in English. Have you all stopped saying brill for brilliant?
I suspect you know I meant like a colour palette.

Very tasty, is brill - similar to turbot, which is my favourite fish.

Yes, the pheasant of the sea! I love this too,
piggvar as we call it, but I've never tasted its brill relative
slettvar (which name, unfairly or not, suggests it is a lesser cousin). It is easier to get halibut here, which is also nice.

Halibut (pan fried/grilled with baked potatoes) for me - Araminta prefers "Sardine in Saor". Bread-and-butter pudding is good for afters (especially with cherries/amarene included as part of the recipe)...

This may reach a point where one is obliged to include in the Missionaries a cult of zealous fish dish connoisseurs.

<sniggers> Didn't early Christians use the sign of the fish to secretly identify each other?
Cherries? In bread-and-butter pudding? Sacrilege!

Anything can be sacrilegious to someone. I think it sounds quite good.
Yes, the ichthys symbol would be very appropriate for fish loving zealots. Chances are they are fond of lobster too. Amusing misunderstandings would occur when they approach a lobster ship in the belief that lobsters are for sale.

The Fellowship of the Fish - see you at the Sign of the Prancing Halibut.

We'll be waiting outside with a mound of rotten cherries to chuck at you. Heretic!

Finagle's Law - deeply entrenched in the history of sci-fi.
Right, Cody. This one is
your fault!
What do the temples look like and what goes on in the services? We need the detail for LitF and I know
nothing about any of this!

I'd be very surprised if the Fearful Followers of the Dread God Finagle (aka F3) had places of worship. The dread god Finagle and his mad prophet Murphy is more of a running joke, but with serious consequences. For it is written that: Anything that can go wrong, will — at the worst possible moment!
