Does this count as multiple posting, I was gonna put up 1774, but the Cap'n has, and so have you - twice, is it a different one each time? Please don't keep confusing the old codger. :D

Yes, there were at least two different spammers. When Ahruman deletes the last existing account, the next spammer (or any new user) will get the deleted number again.

Ahruman has said that when he finds spammers that come from a certain site, he can either block the site or send a complaint to the ISP to have it closed down.

Kinda. I can block e-mail domains. If they actually post something, I can block the IP address (although, to my knowledge, no spammer has posted anything since the no-links-in-first-two-posts-or-first-two-days rule went into effect).

Sending explanatory letters to ISP abuse departments is an option, but constitutes too much work to do except for noticeable repeat spammers.

As I said previously, for said repeat offenders, posting the ISP address on this board would ensure a steady enough stream of complaints from the rest of us horde to persuade them to cancel the spammer. :D

That’s the Wrong Way to do things and will end up with ISPs hating us.

Do you mean the upper or the lower Djel? Also, are you talking about a)statute, b)nautical, c)metrical or d)other kind of mile?

I'll say it again: unlike this discussion, at least the metrical system makes sense!

Btw, obliterate these. One claims to be an Austrian, the other a Yank (be it from the North or the South Yankeeland, it doesn't really matter) andthe third from Doturuveh (that must be somewhere clockwise from Klatch).
