Wooooo!

You might get it before Christmas then!! ;-)

I've been getting emails on the status of orders from RS - they keep telling me that they are taking each order in turn when deliveries of Pies come in. They haven't yet told me what number I am in the queue though.

IIRC the next batch will be 7000 units.

Seems June/July is the likely delivery date for this latest tray of pis.

I registered my interest with 2 places on day of release so hopefully i'll get to order mine soon.

I fancy making mine into a mini laptop similar to a sharp zaurus. Either that or it will be my media center machine.
Be nice if they had 2 Ethernet ports as they would make a great firewall machine.

!m!

I'm hoping to use mine as a file and print server and python development platform. Already have a foldable keyboard, wireless adapter, USB hub and mouse for it and I've just bought a 16GB SD card for the OS - one of the few class 10 cards that work, apparently.

Looking forward to getting it now. It feels like Christmas. Slightly weird feeling to be able to buy a computer for £30.

I'm hoping that I can use it to teach The Boy how to program. I learned on a BBC Model B, so it would be nice for him to learn on a RPi Model B. Divine symmetry. ;-)

Woo. Got my SD card today and am installing the OS for my Pi. Then a two week wait to actually use it.

It's too darn long.

Looking forward to seeing Oolite on the Pi!
Chaps;

When you get your Pi's there are some C++ open gl/es demos you can look at to get an idea of how to use the framework.
On the Debian Squeeze or Raspbian images these are in;
/opt/vc/src/hello_pi

The hello_triangle one is probably the one you're going to want.
This just draws a simple rotating cube with textures at 1080p.

If you want a testing bod, I am happy to help. I am not sure how much help I can be with regards to the dev work... as I am quite new to Linux dev. But if I can help I will.
