I'd like to hack this OXP so that only the ships that are in the multi target system memory are colored on the scanner. I see where to insert the extra filtering (psu_updatescanner), but I don't know how to access the multitarget memory.

Hey Murphy (if you are still around)
On my computer, clean normal ships flash between yellow and grey. I thought it was something I'd done to the scanner, but I removed the OXP and reinstalled it and that behavour still happens. Once I target such a ship, though, the ship sticks to yellow. Is this by design?
Also, I could try to purposefully break the scanner in interstellar space - via my Interstellar Tweaks OXP - if you think that would be a good idea (though probably doing it via your OXP might be a better idea).

I think the blinking is intended. It helps with keeping track of which ships were id'ed and which were not. Useful when you're doing something else/have been distracted.
