Looks impressive. The explosion looks like a lot of hot gas is released. But I'd no expert on outer space explosions, and the whole thing is just a game for fun. So make it looking nice... :-)

Wow! I'm using the second one as my laptop wallpaper now, it's so good.

Some of the smaller explosions look a bit weird but then a still image is a bit of a false perspective for explosions...

Despite this, I agree with the others, just trying to be constructive.
The big explosion looks great, well done 8)

Well, this evolved into creating the entire solar system (at scale. 1 AU is 1 AU. Apart from the sun and the main planet, diameters of everything else is to scale), it can work on its own however and is not dependant on any solar systems being there.

At present I have got a working FSD drive that I named the OFD drive. Navigating is really easy and automatics take care of you not plunging into a planet. It only needs an escape vector for when people decide to land on planets via other OXPs.

Oh well a video shows it all best, and allow me to make you my willing victims of experimenting with youtube moneytisation. it means there will be adds ;)

I posted another video

There is a snag at the end, but that is what testing is about, then showing the hud at the end.
Frame: did you ever finish any of this? I can't find anything published...

I'm particularly interested in your asteroid rings and your to-scale solar systems, as well as the barycenters, the HUD and your Babylon5 work.

We need an "I'm grabbing this for my desktop wallpaper" button, too.

Would you mind if I use this image as part of a thumbnail for my YouTube series?

Fantastic, thank you. You've got the two most iconic Oolite/Elite objects in one shot, perfectly framed. It's a fantastic showcase.
