Which is OK if you're on a Mac and have it ;)

Wings produces per-vertex normals, and defaults to smooth objects. If you want to create faceted objects, you should be marking all the edges as hard in Wings. Converting a model with smooth normals causes the vertex normals for each face to be averaged together, which is rarely what you want.

To best match the appearance in Wings3D’s preview mode, use Obj2DatTexNorm.py.

Looks good Thargoid.

I can now make further adjustments and I see the relationship between the standard texture and emission map. I'm gonna make the texture darker so the contrast between the hull and the lights become more visible.

And here it is, in the guise of the ASL Magii. And if I may say so, it looks stunning.

Although the glitch around the shuttle docks is still present, so we may need someone on a Mac to run the model through Drydock or something.

Anyway a few snapshots:

In the Firefly sense? Absolutely!

[My eldest still goes "Shiny" when she sees a Honda Civic, after the new new one came out, I guess, around the same time as Firefly and I got into the habit of going "Oh, Shiny" when I saw one... ]

Finally the shuttle of the Emerald- The Diamond Class- Shuttle is done. Final files including Em-maps sent to Thargoid. Hopefully the Liners.oxp can come out soon! :D

So without further ado, let's have some screenshots.

Firstly the Diamond class shuttle:

And now the revised Emerald class liner, in this case the ASL Scorpio:

The images are a little dark and don't do the ship justice. PAGroove has outdone himself this time, the thing is magnificent...

My only question now is - Where are all the other promised liners for this OXP?

Is the Emerald in the second screen whitout the em-map. Because it looks like it
and EDIT:

The main dock is not so great. Don't we have a better main dock texture laying around?

I can send you the Latest Tigershark:

Which also goes into the Liners package. If you could also let it launch some shuttles?

I also want to include the Aurora so that the Liners will be a meta oxp for the larger liners AND so that one script controls the distribution of these ships. Aurora and Emerald should be rarer than the Tigershark.

And I want a player version of the shuttle ( ).

Possible to have these replace the Famous Planets liners when it is done. They don't quite fit in with my other ship sets, but the concept makes sense.

Gorgeous texture and lighting map - but there's some big (flat) polys that desperately need a normal map...

They're all the same ship, so if one is em-mapped then they all are. I think it's just the light.

And as for the dock, it's the standard built-in one (at the moment it's a Griff one on my machine). I was going to talk to you about that, as I agree it's something that we could make specific to the ship and to match the skin properly.
