I finally managed to get a menu:
*
Pub Menu Pg 1
*
Pub Menu Pg 2
*
Pub Menu Pg 3
*
Special X-Mas Menu
If anybody wants anything off the xmas menu I will have to pre-order it (it's not available a-la carte), otherwise just the pub grub. Although they appear to have a bit of an issue with one of their fryers, which means not everything on the menu
ismay be available.
Cheers,
- Micha

Still, it could be worse... I could live in Alaska.
Ogdensburg?
Close, about 40mins away, give or take.

There's no trumble burger on the menu!
But at least the BBQ sauce is there.

There is a 'trio of prawn shooters'. They sound pretty dangerous...

I
dare you to ask them to make one for you, with your Oolite pin-badge and cuff-links on.

Nah. Personally I prefer an edible poet anyway.

The 25th is Thanksgiving holiday in America.
I can give thanks for Oolite.
We'll be having traditional turkey and stuffing.

Crimany. I'd better get my camera charged, this is looking more and more like a UK who's who of oolite.

Sounds like a plan. We're meeting at 17:30 in the Lloyd's reception - that's where I work.
Cheers,
Drew.

I'm now being detoured via France to come home on Thursday evening, so sadly I'm now doubly certain I won't make it
But enjoy yourselves, and sink a couple for me...

If anybody else attending has the Tricorder 580 App on their iPhone (if not obtainable from iTunes for a reasonable 59p), could you set your Location Tracking to On?
It claims to identify fellow geeks in range with their App and Location Tracking turned display their location on the Tricorder's grid.
But I'm not too sure it not just making it up!
Did a Scan at home and it picked up an Ensign Ricky within 500 meters (my neighbour is a known Star Trek geek, so this could be true).
Did a Scan at Chelmsford Crown Court today and picked up another Ensign.
My own scan Screen name is of course set as Commander Jameson!

I've just looked at the late trains back to Newbury - they make depressing reading - the last direct train leaves Paddington at 2000 so clearly I'm not getting that, however, unless I fancy getting home at one in the morning then I'll be departing our get together at about 2130 to get the 2200 train home (and even on this I have to change and won't be back until 2330 - on a school night too!)

Similar problem for me. I need to catch the 21:42 from St. Pancras otherwise I'll miss a connection. Nothing like a 21st century rail network!
Cheers,
Drew.
