The shader problem
see:
https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t= ... &start=105
and
https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?p=98860#98860
affects the Bulk Haulers too, this time it looks like that only the animated billboards are funny.

Small video of it here:

Probably effects all my oxps then, I'll have to update the fragment shaders in them all.

I wonder if it is possible to make a television Bulk Hauler which screen could play the adds from the Your ad here oxp.

I really like the animated Bill Boards!

I also thought of a LRC-MK2. Which is a Long Range Cruiser with a flight deck.

I think of the LRC as the first big ships after the time of the Generation ships so they are very old.

Yes, but i'd need to get permisssion of course. It pretty simple to do, would just have to merge all the ads (well not ALL in one image, maybe like 2 for each set) into one long image, and choosing how long each image should stay up for.

Thank you! The dancing anime girls is from a internet Meme called "Carameldansen" and the other one with scenic views and a hidden subliminal message was inspired by the brainwashing rooms in Lost, so I can't really take credit for them :P

Ya, I was thinking of making variations of the LRC, and I agree with the idea of the LRC being the first big ships after the Generation Ships, they may even of originally been Generation Ships that were under construction when Witchspace was discovered and were then hastily retrofitted. :P

I've been working on a new version every now and then, PAGroove wants to add a few of his bulk hauler-type ships too.

Here's a sneak preview of an alternate version of the Lynx Bulk Carrier:

Click on images for full screen.

Those are ships on the back, it's holding:
*12x Cobra Mk III
*24x Cobra Mk I
*12x Fer-de-Lance
*6x Monitor
*12x Viper
*6x Krait
*12x Sidewinder
*3x Viper Interceptor
*4x Bulk Shipping Containers

Do the ships take off and land? (That would be cool, but expect that to be rather difficult in an OXP)

Cool! Just a thought, as there's no Gravity in open space (to speak of) couldn't you have more ships on the underside of the 'shelves' as well? Or even on the verticals (walls)?

I could be done, but no, this ship doesn't do that.
It's hauling brand new ships to the shipyard. They're un-manned, don't have any cargo or milage yet.
I think I might make a 'rusty' one thats taking second hand ships away to be disposed of/recycled.

Yes, but 2 reasons why I didn't:
*A: It would kill most high-end computers having to run that much graphic stuff at once, each one of the 'parked' ships has a 512x512 texture (each type of parked ship shares a texture though, as do the cargo containers)
*B: I imagined there's some sort of Health and Space-Safety Regulations that prevent people from parking on walls and roofing :P

Plus, The Lynx Bulk Carrier Gets pretty close to planets when coming into orbit to trade with space stations, perhaps even having to enter the upper atmosphere to trade with land-based stations.

And also, I want to have Billboards on the blank walls for advertising revenue :P
I might put some smaller cargo containers on the underside of the two top levels.

Nice one, seeing all the parked ships gives you a feeling of the scale of this thing ... :D

With the way collision is handled and the way big ships like that just love to pull up when you're near them, I don't think that would be possible (plus i didn't do them as subentities cause doing like 50 subentities would be a major pain) But like my original Lynx Bulk Carrier, it well have the same type of on-death script where it splits into the many sections of the ship on dying, meaning if you kill one of the LBC's with these ships parked on them... Prepare for instant death as around 50 ships get shot off in all different directions :P

Yeah it's big, but I dont think the scale is the same as the original LBC from Frontier/FFE, I think the original LBC were a bit smaller, but thats not really important, no one ever paid attention to LBC's in that game :P
